Ski Bum

Ski Bum is a free pixel-art ski game you play right in your browser, on PC or phone. Grab first chair, lay trenches in fresh corduroy, huck the big air, and try not to yard sale in front of the whole lift line. Watch out for the bear. He doesn't like slow skiers.

Events

• Pick an event from the Event menu any time, or just free ski
• Slalom: 23 gates against the clock. Miss one and it costs you 2 seconds. Dawdle and the bear comes out of the trees
• Park jam: 60 seconds to stack points on kickers, rails and the big air tables. Send it
• Halfpipe: one run down the pipe, scored on height and style
• Gold, silver and bronze for each. Your best medals are saved
• New to the park? A quick trick tutorial and a practice lap get you dialed

On the mountain

• Groomed corduroy, packed snow, light dust on crust, deep pow stashes, mogul fields and icy patches by the base
• Three big air tabletops: tuck the in-run and stomp it, or come up short and knuckle it
• Flips, spins and grabs: nose, tail and crossed-ski inside grabs on skis; indy, mute, method and tail on a board
• Ski or snowboard, with snowcats grooming the runs and plenty of Jerrys getting in your way
• Ride the chair back up, or skip to the top

Ski shop

• Earn points for tricks, gates, rails and records
• Spend them on jackets, pants and faster skis

Controls

• Phone: left thumb joystick to steer (up tucks, down leans back). In the air it spins and flips, and the right buttons turn into grabs
• PC: a key bar along the bottom shows the keys for what you're doing (turn it off in the menu)
• A / D or Left / Right: carve. Up / W: tap to push, hold to tuck. Down / S: lean back (step up when stopped). Space: jump
• In the air: Up / Down flip, Left / Right spin. Skis: Z nose, X tail, C front inside, Z+X back inside
• Ctrl: tap once to stop. Shift: drift. Q / E: orbit the camera
• Rails: press Up right at the start to lock on, Space to hop off
• K: skip the lift. G: get up. R: reset. Speed in mph or km/h in the menu
